My first day of skiing this year, on December 19th. It's been a rough start to the season, to say the least. A big storm was coming to Colorado, so I decided to take the day off from work and head down to Monarch Mountain. They reported 3" at 7am, but with it snowing all day, it skied more like 12"+ as you can see from the pictures. The skier is my friend Jay Volak, who you've likely seen in other skiing pictures from last season.
