Finally.... on January 22nd, the Colorado mountains experienced the first big snowfall of the winter. Typically by this time, I've got 10-12 powder days under my skis... but not this year. It's been a low snow year to say the least. However, last night and into the morning a big storm dropped 16-18" on Beaver Creek (and everywhere else, too), and our crew made sure to take advantage of it. We left Denver at 5:00am to beat the traffic, and the early departure was worth it. Here are a few pictures from Beaver Creek today, about 3 hours into the powder day. We didn't stop for the first few hours because it was so good. :)
