In between mountain biking in Fruita on Easter weekend, I made the two hour trek to the Moab area to check out Canyonlands Nat'l Park. All I can say is WOW- I'm glad I went. Upon arrival, the weather was pretty gloomy: 35 and it was actually snowing! I thought the trip was ruined, until I realized that the weather kept almost everyone out of the park, except for me of course. I had the park virtually to myself. I visited places like Mesa Arch, False Kiva, and the Green River Overlook with only myself as company. I have been to many National Parks and other areas in the west, and not many can compare with the scenery and majesty of Canyonlands. Words (and pictures) truly can't describe this part of the country.
