About 20 miles north of Fort Collins, on the Poudre River and at the base of the mountains lies Eagle's Nest Open Space Area. It's an absolutely beautiful piece of land, the type that words or pictures don't describe. With virtually no one in sight (the parking lot had 4 cars in it on the Fourth of July weekend), Sarah, me, and the dogs had the place to ourselves. To top it off, it was only 70 degrees while the rest of the Colorado Front Range was melting in the high 90's. Welcome to a little slice of paradise.
