The third and final part of our trip included some of the most incredible hiking I've ever done, anywhere. From Landmannalaugar to the Fimmvorduhals trail, across Iceland's Golden Circle and then back to Landmannalaugar, this gallery includes some of my favorite spots on earth. We didn't have anything planned for our last full day, so we decided to head back to the Landmannalaugar area for another hike (only 6-7 miles this time). It was extremely foggy with low clouds for most of the day- not great for pictures, but incredible for making you feel like you're in another world. This is lake Frostastadavatn, which greets you before you get to the main campground.
