Sarah and I love Iceland so much that we wanted to experience it in winter conditions, so we flew direct to Reykjavik last week for a quick 4-day weekend. It was exactly what we expected- extreme conditions, but manageable if you are flexible. We experienced everything from whiteout blizzard conditions to hurricane force winds to torrential rains, but it was what we wanted; that sounds kind of crazy, but it's true.
