For nine days this June, Sarah and I took a vacation on Kauai, the northern most island in Hawaii. We spent most of our time on the north shore near Kilauea and Hanalei- which is where almost all of these pictures are from. The island is absolutely incredible- the ocean shoots up to five thousand foot peaks in a matter of a few miles, and the weather is amazing. Beaches are uncrowded and the mountains are even more so. This is the first half of our trip, with pictures from Hanalei, the Kilauea Lighthouse, various beaches, and the Kalalau Trail, which traverses the Napali coast. Be sure to read most of the captions, as I've tried to describe most of the images you see.
