Kenosha Pass Mountain Biking (Sep '12)
In the Fall, there aren't many better spots for mountain biking than Kenosha Pass. At 10,000 feet and flanked by aspen trees, the colors are amazing for about two weeks a year. Jason and I had planned a big ride, and all was going well from the parking lot.... until I hit a big rock on one of the climbs and broke my rear derailleur. From that point, the ride was essentially over since I could not pedal my bike. I removed the derailleur and the chain, and (luckily) headed back down to the car, two miles away. In the four miles of riding, we did manage to get some good shots of the trail and the scenery. I'll be back next year.
