On Sunday of July 4th weekend, my friend Josh and I went hiking in Rocky Mountain National Park, only 45 minutes from the house. Instead of entering the main area of the park, we visited the less-frequented Wild Basin area and hiked to Ouzel Falls. It's about 6 miles r/t with several waterfalls, a fast-flowing creek, and once you're above the falls the views open up to expose several 13k and 14k foot peaks.
